A few years ago I built small 'Caribbean beach diorama'. Recently I have decided to update its apperance a little bit. So another remaster has just happened – you might want to take a look.
This diorama has interesting genesis and soon will be available for sale. It was part of larger landscape which I made a very long time ago. If you create something from time to time, you probably know that work from the past often looks bad. Just bad - you could improve every aspect of it. However this case was a bit different - that is why diorama is still (partly) alive.
It's time to show you my latest piece of work. I made Miami Beach diorama for special order - it's mean to be a background and element of exibition stand with jewellery collection related to this theme and timeline (1950-1980).
Around 3 months ago I decided to not develop any commercial models in the nearest future, however this kind of work found me anyway. It's seems that soon I will have something really interesting to present here. I decided to write a bit about custom dioramas in case someone was looking for one.
As I mentioned in my last facebook post I decided not to develop any commercial miniature models in the near future. It wasn't pleasant decision, but it became clear to me that commercial potential of my ideas is definitely not big enough.
However there is also a good news - I'm not going to drop 'art' completely - lately I focused on functional art and it's time to present you some wall hangers.
It has been a while, but now it's finally time to present you a new miniature model. This time I decided to make small imitation of landscape related to holidays.
Model-making is not always about creating miniatures of the real world. My last work refers to that, because it's a representation of representation of reality. When this second representation is over 30 years old nintendo game, things get interesting.
Contra, Super Mario Bros, Tanks - if you were born around 1987, there is a big chance that these games took many hours of your childhood. You are probably familiar with terms 'NES' or 'Pegasus' and maybe still play from time to time.
I am delighted to present two models I made. I decided that both would be related to ancient Greece theme. It took some time to develop required 'technology' I used to build these, but thanks to that process I got some new skills and experience. Soon I am going to try find buyers for them and also post some guides as for modeling techniques.
